New York Airprots

There are staffed ground transportation info stands at the baggage claim level in each of the airports that will provide you with information on transportation, as well as the option to book transportation. In addition, most of the major transportation agencies have free phones located in the baggage claim area. Typically, it takes about 45 minutes to an hour by car/taxi to get to the midtown area from JFK, 30 to 40 minutes from LaGuardia, and about 40 to 50 minutes from Newark. If you are arriving or leaving during rush hour traffic, you may want to allow for a little extra time, especially if you are taking a bus.

The subways and buses are a good option when traveling alone without extra luggage to and from the airport. There is one exception if you are traveling to and from JFK, and that is to catch the new AirTrain which connects to the subway and vice versa.

The best and most reliable modes of transportation to and from the airports are Limousine service, car service, shuttles and taxis.
